Title: Site Superintendent

Summary:
The Superintendent will be responsible for the day-to-day field operations, including coordinating and supervising all construction activities. The successful candidate must have the skill and experience to manage construction projects ensuring the contract documents are being followed and the project is proceeding on schedule and within budget. The candidate must be able to supervise and coordinate multiple subcontractors and trades.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plan, direct, control, and monitor daily field activities to ensure project milestones are met.

  • Ensure safety and security requirements are understood and implemented by all project personnel.

  • Read and interpret plans, specifications, and drawings, including scaling drawings

  • Ability to perform minimal layout, including competency using a tape measure.

  • Ensure all aspects of the project are compliant with contract terms and conditions.

  • Inspect and evaluate the adequacy of work performed by craft, staff, and subcontractors.

  • Adjust work activities and/or craft to stay on schedule.

  • Coordinate field activities with Project Manager, internal and external clients and labor force.

  • Maintain daily paperwork such as timecards, field reports, schedule updates, and email.

  • Understand and apply federal, state, and local policies, laws, and regulations.

  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.

  • Assist in bidding opportunities and preconstruction services by performing constructability reviews and providing input on costs, scheduling and pre-planning.

  • Manage schedules, including preparation of detailed short-term schedules and ensuring all activities and deliveries take place on or ahead of schedule.

  • Conduct and/or attend project meetings and coordinate site testing and inspection efforts.

  • Monitor project costs, including labor time and material.

  • Code and approve invoices and assist in review of pay requests with Project Manager.

  • Ability to organize tasks and work efficiently without direct supervision.

  • Must be ambulatory and have the ability to walk a moderate distance as required to access all areas of work for inspection and for project compliance. This includes, but is not limited to, climbing ladders, scaffolding, operating man lifts and the use of other tools, machinery and personal protective equipment (PPE) on an active construction site(s).Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • This individual shall have a minimum of five (5) years’ experience as a superintendent on minimum $10MM construction projects.

Essential Skills, Abilities, and Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Intermediate skill in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.

  • Demonstrate strong leadership, organizational and time management skills, as well as strong communication and client service skills.

  • Valid state driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

  • OSHA 10 and First Aid/CPR certification.

  • Familiarity with requirements of drawings and specifications and with terms and conditions of

Project Contracts, Subcontracts and Purchase Orders with strong ability to read drawings and specifications.

  • Project requires US Citizenship and ability to speak, read, and write fluent English.

Job Summary:
We are looking for a hardworking Construction Laborer to assist in various building projects in rural Alaska. This role involves physical labor, working in remote conditions, and supporting carpenters and other tradespeople. The ideal candidate is adaptable, reliable, and comfortable working in extreme weather conditions with limited resources.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with general construction tasks, including site preparation, material handling, and cleanup.

  • Load, unload, and move materials, tools, and equipment.

  • Perform basic tasks such as digging, lifting, and carrying heavy objects.

  • Assist carpenters, masons, and other tradespeople as needed.

  • Operate hand and power tools safely.

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team in rural Alaska. This position requires experience in wood / metal framing, finish carpentry, and general construction. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, self-sufficient, and comfortable working in remote environments with limited resources.

Entry Level Environmental Scientist/Sr. Technician

SUMMARY

This is a professional environmental scientist/engineer position. The incumbent serves as an integral member of our Project Delivery Teams. They work under the direction of multiple Project Managers to provide technical and operational support for the respective projects to which they are assigned. Work includes preparing proposals, planning and executing projects, developing and implementing project budgets, performing fieldwork, documenting and reporting field activities, and providing other management support. They work closely with other project professionals and clients. This position is located in Fairbanks, AK with limited travel throughout Alaska. Possible travel to Lower 48 for projects or training.
